As a major arterial street close to downtown Atlanta, the Boulevard Corridor is prime property that contains mostly blighted apartment buildings. Drug dealers and prostitutes make up a percentage of the pedestrian traffic. However, the surrounding neighborhood is a close-knit active and diverse community. Therefore, the thematic drive for the mixed-use building at Boulevard and Boulevard Place explores the nature of transition: transition from high-density residential with ground-level retail to single-family homes, transition from inside to outside, transition from retail to residential, etc..
